The Tea Party of Rains County Meeting

The Tea Party of Rains County has scheduled its monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 8 at 7:00 pm. in the Rutledge conference room of the new Best Western Hotel. The featured speaker for this meeting will be Cathie Adams. Mrs. Adams topic will be on Radical Islamists and Sharia Law.

Radical Islamists killed nearly 3000 Americans in New York City on 9-11 yet all these years later we remain confused about WHY they declared war on us. Could it be because they are protected by our religious freedoms and racial sensitivities? WHO is this self-declared enemy? Is it a religion or a theocracy?

What is Sharia Law?  Sharia Law is a religious code for living, in the same way that the bible offers a moral system for Christians.  It is used to refer to both the Islamic system of law and the totality of the Islamic way of life.

Mrs. Adams currently serves as the International Issues chairman for Eagle Forum and on the board of the national Eagle Forum (www.eagleforum.org). She previously served 5 years as president of the Dallas Eagle Forum and 16 years as president of the Texas Eagle Forum until being elected chairman of the Republican Party of Texas in 2009. Mrs. Adams is a full-time volunteer and has been married to Dr. Homer Adams for 41 years.

As Thomas Jefferson said, “The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits”.

The Lake Fork Tea Party Patriots is made up of concerned citizens in the Lake Fork area of Rains County Texas. The surrounding towns include Emory, Alba, and Yantis, Texas. The Lake Fork Tea Party Patriots formed largely in response to the out-of-control spending in Washington and due to the arrogance of Washington ignoring the will of the people and passing legislation that the majority of Americans did not support. Our voices will be heard in Washington.

Constitution Education

The last few years have seen the rise of the American spirit. We've become adept at rallying, demonstrating, getting out the vote and generally making our voices heard. Therefore, the Constitution Education Foundation was established with a different goal in mind. Much of our history has long been ignored or denied by those who would marginalize the significance of our heritage. It is our goal to make sure that our voices have the authority that only comes with the study of factual history.

Our purpose is to reintroduce the original intent and values of our Founding Fathers. Their gift to us, and to the world, was a unique system of government based on the rights of the individual, not the rights of a federal government. In keeping with that spirit, the Constitution Education Foundation is a "bottom up" organization run by a Members Board with all authority to make decisions on day to day operations. The function of our Board of Directors is only to make sure that the Members Board's decisions are in line with our By-Laws. We would welcome your voice and ideas.

True the Vote

Vote fraud attacks the heart of our political system and threatens our rights as citizens. When True the Vote began monitoring elections last fall in Houston, we were shocked at the fraud we discovered. Precinct judges often failed to check voters IDs, and some even filled out ballots to "help" people vote. These violations are just the tip of a very large and ugly iceberg. If you are one of the millions of Americans outraged by corruption at the highest levels of our nation's government, then you can help us stop fraud where it begins – at the polling place, in the precinct where you live, in the streets of your city.

The Federalist Papers

The Federalist, or more commonly known as The Federalist Papers, is a series of essays written between October 1787 and May 1788 for the purpose of convincing New York residents to ratify the proposed Constitution of the United States. This series of 85 essays were written under the pen name “Publius” and therefore the true authorship of these essays is still debated, but are generally agreed to be authored by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay.  The Federalist Papers were detailed to show its readers the advantages of the proposed Constitution over the current Articles of Confederation.
